Whether through offering beautiful artwork or graphics, offering valuable information, bringing attention to an important cause, or simply reaching out to others and bringing joy into the lives of those who visit, there are many wonderful sites that deserve to be recognized. I have made these special awards as gifts of appreciation for the gifts that are offered by creators of sites that bring light to the web and ultimately beyond, to enrich the world as well.
Here you will find a variety of awards for many different types of sites. I've included a little something for just about everyone, and time permitting, I will take requests as well.
There are a few rules (I hate to use that word, but it is necessary) to my award process. You can nominate a site belonging to someone else or yourself, but the site must contain only appropriate content. Sites containing obscenity, hate, cruelty, exploitation, endorsing illegal activities, racism, religious intolerence, extremism, slander - anything that could be considered hurtful or mean, or links to sites such as these. I only offer awards to personal, noncommercial sites, so if the site in question sells products, services, or memberships, that is a disqualification as well. If a site is given an award and then adds inappropriate content, I will expect my award to be removed. I don't know why this would even happen, but theoretically I suppose it could, so I'd rather be prepared just in case.
Please only display my award if you are willing to provide a link back. You can provide a text link or link the award itself, but there must be a link on the same page it is displayed. Also, you may not edit it in any way. Don't ask me for an award only to in turn edit it, post it, and claim it as your own creation. Not only in that copyright infringement, it's downright nasty. In the event that someone is caught doing this, I'll be forced to build a Wall of Shame and post your name on it :( Please don't force me to do such a thing, I really don't want a Wall of Shame here. If you'd like it resized or a change in text, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
I give these awards out at my own discretion, and I feel that my choice in sites I present with awards is a reflection of my own integrity and standards. This is why I feel the need to make so many rules. Whether or not I give a site an award is always up to me, but my wish is to give out as many as possible. If you apply for one and I deny your request, I will try to explain why. You can always reapply if you like.
I will do my best to visit the awarded sites from time to time, possibly sending an occasional something special as well. :) If you are seeking an award for someone else, make sure you send me both your URL as well as theirs. Please request no more than 2 at a time. As much as I love creating, my family is my priority, so I offer no guarantees as far as review, completion and sending time. Last of all, please ask politely. I will delete emails that are rude or demanding, so think before you write. I really look forward to giving out lots of awards to great sites that truly deserve praise. ~^..^~
