There are some poems here that I have used around my site, but this is a centralized location for everything I wanted to include here. I wrote these poems based experiences in my life, feelings that I had the need to express, or inspiration out of the blue. They truly are words from my heart.

You kissed me softly
as summer's flame flickered out
in a sea of grass

The sea, clear as glass
I walk along her shoreline
remembering you

When morning returns
the birds will sing their sweet song
and my tears will end

Soft as a whisper
the song of you in my heart
haunts me even now

This April evening
as I look out my window
I long for your touch

Two hands lingering
eternity, a moment
tomorrows memories

Good morning darling
day is brighter with you here
race me to the stars

All I want is you
this world's treasures can't compare
to your soft embrace

A gift of friendship
we give to one another
more precious than gold

I cherish these days
sweet days of us together
my dear family

Coloring my world
creating beauty and joy
lightens my spirit

Each stroke of my brush
brings forth from deep within me
the song of my soul

I am held captive
shimmering lights water-dance
ancient fae? who knows

Rose petals scattered
in the fading candlelight
she breathes in his scent

Autumn leaves ballet
flaming color symphony
dance to twilight's song

Shimmering rainbow
born at the end of the storm
a promise of peace

A Kiss of Summer
Just as a delicate rose
unfolds her petals
in the warmth of the sun
your kiss reached a place
within my heart
buried deep beneath Winter's frost
gently melting the ice imprisoning
my passion
you took my hand and showed me
the meaning of desire
and how, in lovers' arms,
eternity can be found in a moment
powerful as a force of Nature
irresistible, magnetic, enigmatic you
were too delicious to deny
your touch awakened my thirsting heart
as the summer rain
nourishes the rosebud
and I grew in love

Flying on Broken Wings
Once upon a time
the world was ours
we danced in sunlit meadows
and with each new blossom of spring
our joy would rise like champagne bubbles
and bring merriment to the land
the glorious gardens of Summer
would softly scent our endless days
and enchanted moonlit nights
in the autumn as the leaves tumbled
to the ground, a majestic ballet
of flaming sunlit color
as though the trees were casting off
the remains of August's heat
we threw out our arms
and whirled with them
ecstatically
Winter brought glittering ice crystals
and delicate, sparkling flakes
and our springtime's meadows
seemed to wear a dazzling cloak
of white velvet and diamonds
through all of the seasons we knew peace
and honored the Earth, our Mother
our blessings were many
and we believed they would never end.
Yet through the passage of time
came the harsh winds of change
destroying our world
where once there was laughter
now were only tears
and carrying on seemed pointless
But before you say all hope is lost
look around you, and tell me what you see
the wings on which we soared lie tattered
but remember this
the Night holds the seed of Morning
and the promise of tomorrow
a new day and a new way to begin again
with threads of faith
we can mend our broken wings
and fly beyond the sun.
